When you are dating someone for the first time, it is best not to have great expectations. If you go into something expecting gold and get silver, then you will be disappointed. When you think about great expectations, dating should be the furthest thing from your mind. People are complex creatures and if you set your expectations too high, the other person will not have a chance of impressing you.
